Nursing Home Ministries

There is always room to serve, sing, visit, listen, and pray within our nursing home ministries. We minister to Marion Rehab and Nursing Facility and Parkway Estates/Manor. Contact the church office if you would like to be a part of this ministry.

Early Response Team

Through the United Methodist Committee on Relief, Aldersgate partcipates in the ERT (Early Response Team). This is a group of trained individuals who go out shortly after a storm or natural disaster has hit an area. Physically they tarp roofs, remove debris, cut out wet carpet and remove damaged drywall. Emotionally and spiritually they stand beside those who have been devastated by a storm or an earthquake and offer Christian love and support.

Red Cross Blood Drive

Aldersgate hosts an American Red Cross Blood Drive several times a year in the ALC (Gym). Contact the church office to learn about our next blood drive.

The Lighthouse Shelter
On a rotating schedule with other churches and organizations in Marion, volunteers help prepare and serve dinner to the homeless at the Lighthouse Shelter. If interested in volunteering, contact Brenda McVicar.
