Ministerial Alliance
Soup Kitchen
Meals are served on weekdays per a rotating schedule with other churches in Marion. Volunteers help prepare and serve a meal to those in need at the Marion Ministerial Alliance soup kitchen. If you are interested in helping, contact Nancy McShannon.
Nursing Home Ministries
There is always room to serve, sing, visit, listen, and pray within our nursing home ministries. We minister to Marion Rehab and Nursing Facility and Parkway Estates/Manor. Contact the church office, or Jodi Reinhard if you would like to be a part of this ministry.

Early Response Team
Through the United Methodist Committee on Relief, Aldersgate participates in the ERT (Early Response Team). This is a group of trained individuals who go out shortly after a storm or natural disaster has hit an area.
Physically they tarp roofs, remove debris, cut out wet carpet and remove damaged drywall. Emotionally and spiritually they stand beside those who have been devastated by a storm or an earthquake and offer Christian love and support.
Red Cross
Blood Drive
Aldersgate hosts an American Red Cross Blood Drive several times a year in the ALC (Gym). Contact the church office to learn about our next blood drive.

The Lighthouse Shelter
On a rotating schedule with other churches and organizations in Marion, volunteers help prepare and serve dinner to the homeless at the Lighthouse Shelter. If interested in volunteering, contact Brenda McVicar.
Foreign Missions
Brad and Maria Festen
Brad and Maria Festen have been members of Wycliffe Bible Translators since 1994, serving in the Central African Republic (CAR) from 1998 to 2017. They lived in a small village in the Southwestern part of the country for ten years, doing linguistic analysis and helping to start the Mpyemo Bible translation project, which transitioned to local leadership in 2011. In 2017, the Festens returned to the USA for medical reasons. Now Brad is continuing to help with the Mpyemo translation via the Internet, and Maria is working in the home office of TeachBeyond, another mission organization. Even though they are now based in the USA for an indefinite period, Brad and Maria want to support the Mpyemo project in any way they can, and help bring it to completion. Your partnership in prayer and financial support is greatly appreciated.
